November 16

Evelyn has been off steroids for two weeks now and is back on them this Thursday. It seems the days and weeks go by so fast when it's all planned out for us. Last weekend Evelyn had a bout with diarrhea - there was a lot of sleepless nights and diaper changes.

At clinic on Thursday she was tested for c-difficile and other viruses but everything checked out fine and by the end of the weekend she was back to normal. Clinic visits have been going as planned and staying on track since Evelyn has stayed healthy. It's been such a blessing she has stayed in good health.

Evelyn keeps showing us her strength in little ways - the past couple weeks she no longer cries at finger poke and gives us big smiles :). We are so proud of our little trooper!

Unfortunately this weekend also our little nephew, Easton Beintema was admitted to Mac for a gallstone. This is very rare for a baby of only 4 months. There are a lot of unknowns at this point so they are putting their hope in the Lord's hands and take comfort in the fact that He has a bigger plan for Easton. We continue to lean on each other as our family goes through another trial and put our trust in the Great Physician.

We now swap our tips and tricks of hospital life and meet regularly for coffee at Mac; usually popping in after Evelyn's chemo treatment :). Magic shows in the playroom -

Being a part of the cancer community we get introduced to many organizations doing amazing things for families dealing with cancer. This weekend we were connected with a photographer associated with Smiling Eyes and given the gift of family pictures :). We were excited to capture our family at this time and Krista from Edison Photography did a great job. A couple sneak peeks -

And a few more pictures -
Sad because she got herself dressed but we weren't going anywhere -
